Startup, MVP, pitch, acceleration, venture capital. These terms come up constantly in technology-sector programs, events and meetings, but they rarely arrive with a clear explanation for anyone just getting close to this environment.
To address that, Inaitec has launched the Innovation Glossary, a resource bringing together 13 concepts used day to day by startups, companies, investors and institutions.
Each entry offers a direct definition, an example of practical use and its relationship to other terms in the sector — showing, for instance, how MVP and pitch connect, or what sets incubation apart from acceleration.
The content draws on Inaitec's own experience bringing companies, startups, professionals and institutions together in incubation, acceleration and market-access initiatives. That is why some examples cite real programs, such as Impulse and Acelera Pedra Branca, grounding theory in the ecosystem's day-to-day practice.
The material was designed both for those already working in the innovation sector and for those discovering this world now.
The concepts covered include Startup, Innovation ecosystem, Hub, Acceleration, Incubation, Pitch, MVP, Mentoring, Angel investment, Venture capital, Networking, Open innovation and Internationalization.
